Standard Description of the Swiss Frill Canary

 

Position      

In the shape of an ellipse. Half moon.

 

Size  

17 to 18 cm

 

Head

Small and oval.

 

Neck

Long and slim without any frills.

 

Plumage

Smooth-feathered in all areas not assigned to frills.

 

Mantle

Long and straight, well extended over two thirds of the back.

 

Jabot

Not too voluminous, symmetrical, in the shape of a basket and well separated from the fins.

 

Fins (Flanks) 

Symmetrical and well developed.

 

Legs

Long and slightly angled, thighs covered with short smooth feathers.

 

Tail

Long and narrow, continueing the curved shape of the body.

 

Wings

Long and must not cross.General ConditionActive, clean and healthy.

 

All colours are allowed except red.
